For years I thought about becoming an Interior Decorator or Designer, then recently while surfing the Internet, I discovered something new and exciting in the decorating line. It has many names ..ReDesign, Staging, Real Estate Staging, and One Day Decorating to name a few.

I was always drawn to Interior Design, took a few courses over the years and poured over books on design and floor plans. When I learned more about ReDesign, I knew it was something I would enjoy. The idea of making over someone's home from what they already own, excited me.

So here I am, wife, mother, grandmother, hair stylist, retail sales, member of a gospel-singing group,…..where do I go from here?

To a new venture of course!

I love the idea of creating warm, welcoming spaces for people to come home to, to work or help sell a house at it's best price. After finishing my training with Sandi Gerrard, CRDS in Ontario and becoming a Certified Redesgn Specialist and a member of the Canadian ReDesigners Association, I formed my own business Nicola Lindsay ReDesign.

It's amazing to see the look on a client's face when they return and see the transformation after the redesign is completed. So many will say they "feel" more comfortable in their own home. Also they remark on the "excited feeling" they get when driving up not knowing what's waiting for them. Some even mention they "feel free and focused" after a redesign.

All those reasons make this more pleasing to me --- to be able to help someone in such a simple way.
